What is Coordination of Benefits?
Coordination of Benefits (COB) is how insurance companies decide which plan pays first when a child is covered by more than one insurance policy. This helps prevent duplicate payments and ensures claims are processed correctly. This is often a yearly requirement for most insurances and is the policy holder’s responsibility to check and see how often these updates will be required
