Well Exams

Well exams, also known as preventive care visits, are routine check-ups designed to monitor your child's growth, development, and overall health. These visits are typically covered by insurance as part of preventive care benefits. During a well exam, our providers perform a comprehensive assessment that will all include physical exams, developmental screenings, immunizations, and age-appropriate health guidance. Coverage may vary slightly by insurance plan, so we recommend checking with your provider to confirm specific benefits.



Please note that certain concerns or treatments fall outside the scope of a standard well exam and may result in additional charges or require a separate visit. These may include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluation or management of acute illnesses (e.g., ear infections, rashes, fevers)
• Chronic condition management (e.g., asthma, ADHD, behavioral concerns)
• Prescription refills not related to preventive care
• Mental health evaluations or counseling
• Injury assessments (e.g., sprains, possible fractures)
• Laboratory testing not associated with routine screening. This testing is based on the findings during the exam. 

If these issues arise during a scheduled well visit, we will make every effort to address them, but they will be billed separately in accordance with insurance guidelines.
